Provide advice and support for our clients operational Health, Safety and Environmental System across New Zealand.

The company

A global provider, our Christchurch based client offers student accommodation to University students, with a focus on their New Zealand arm of the business.

Operating with a vision of supporting their students to Live, Learn and Grow, their team is integral to supporting students as they strive for academic success.

The role

Support the operational Health, Safety and Environmental Systems across New Zealand by working with key stakeholders and student villages to continuously improve and develop the HSE management systems, processes, policies and tools across the region.

Proactively support all areas of the business by driving a Health, Safety and Environmental culture which continuously works towards a zero incident workplace.

Identify and manage risk, as well as other issues as they arise – supporting the General Manager HSE to ensure incident and accident reporting and analysis is timely, accurate and within company protocols.

Oversee and facilitate the return to work process for injured employees.

Skills and experience required

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (prefer Diploma minimum)
  • Engaging and fun personality is a must
  • Strong ACC and Return to Work exposure
  • Training and Assessment or similar qualification
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and Guidelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skillset
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Articulate and persuasive, strong ability to influence and motivate
  • Excellent project and time management skills
