A major employer in the Tauranga area is seeking an experienced business partner to drive safety culture and engagement

 

The Role

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team Lead, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic safety professional to support and join this major Tauranga based organisation. Provide support to a diverse range of business units, you will drive engagement, build relationships and assist in the ongoing development of a HSW culture. This is a newly created role, within an expanding team of safety professionals.

 

Duties

  • Partner with a range of business units providing expert advice and guidance
  • Coach and mentor business leaders and operational staff around HSW
  • Plan risk assessments and review/develop SSSP’s
  • Support the business to embed the HSW system
  • Develop and deliver workshops/training sessions
  • Contribute towards emergency management and business continuity plans
  • Collaborate with a range of business units throughout the organisation

 

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualified in OHS or a related discipline
  • Strong engagement and communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years professional safety experience
  • Commercially aware with good business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal reasoning skills
  • Able to develop relationships across a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience of supporting cultural change projects
  • Full, clean NZ Driver’s licence required
