Our client seeks a well-rounded, flexible safety advisor to lead and support global safety initiatives within the NZ business

The role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all onsite safety, predominantly within the animal health sector of the business. The successful candidate will mentor and coach both management and staff to grow a proactive and engaged safety culture.
Key to this role will be your ability to self-manage, drive and motivate your colleagues to take responsibility and be proactive about their safety. As the subject matter expert onsite, you have the opportunity to really take ownership of this role.
Duties
- Implement and maintain the current WHS management system
- Coordinate the company’s health and wellness programme on site
- Collate incident and injury data, reporting globally as required
- Conduct site audits
- Ensure compliance to current legislation
- Work alongside the Quality team to maintain correct HSNO and MSDS process
- Complete risk assessments and incident investigations as required
Skills and experience
- Solid experience in a similar role
- Minimum Level 4 National Certificate
- Excellent organisation and self-management skill
- High level written and verbal communication skills
