Our client is seeking an energetic, proactive and hands on Health and Safety Consultant to provide support throughout their organisation in NZ

Our client is a well-known brand and fast food restaurant chain throughout New Zealand.

Continuous improvement and the promotion of a proactive safety culture is an important part of their business.

The role

This role will act as the first point of contact for all health and safety requirements within this organisation.

You will promote a robust safety culture, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with our client’s policies and procedures, acting as an agent for change, to ensure the delivery of company initiatives.

You will lead and manage specialist risk assessments and site audits/ monitoring to maintain our Clients’ accreditations.

Duties include:

  • Actively promote safe working practices in line with legislation and company policy
  • Empower and support health, safety and well-being throughout the organisation
  • Coordinate injury management in line with the company requirements
  • Maintain the online reporting system, documents and registers
  • Deliver internal audit programmes and support external audits
  • Support the delivery of relevant training
  • Visible safety leadership

Skills and experience include:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification required
  • Innovative and solutions orientated/ outcome focused personality
  • Proven ability in building sustainable internal/external relationships
  • High energy, influential and motivated individual is required
  • Ability to work autonomously and with great time management skillset
  • High level of competency using MS Office
  • Must enjoy practical/ hands on safety with a good ability for administration
