Seeking a health and safety graduate or similar with outstanding administrative experience and well-developed analysis and planning skills

The company

Providing innovative and forward-thinking solutions, our client works within the logistics industry – taking a collaborative approach to align the needs of customers, clients and service providers.

The role

Based in the head office in Ellerslie, Auckland, this is a new role, to provide support to the Health and Safety Manager, support and advice to office based staff and value to the overall business.

Key to this role is the ability to identify gaps, provide solutions and proactively manage the day to day reporting, compliance and documentation requirements.  The successful applicant will have working knowledge of HSE regulations and experience in a similar role.

Duties

  • Provide support throughout the implementation of health and safety initiatives
  • Assist in documenting and monitoring health, safety, compliance and operational risks
  • Provide timely and high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify gaps and plan for ensuring all training is up to date
  • Monitor and report on safety trends
  • Work with the Health and Safety Manager to provide training
  • Assist where required with investigations and audits

Skills and experience

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Solid experience and familiarity with health and safety regulation
  • A recognised OSH qualification is preferred – or you may be currently studying
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Self-motivation and initiative are must have strengths
  • Excellent administration and IT skill
