The company and role

This is an excellent 12 months fixed term opportunity to work within a high-risk industry to ensure the organisation meets its core obligations to provide a safe and healthy workplace.

There are 50 plus standards in place, however, due to the fast paced nature of work and growth these need realigning with the core business and its undertaking.

This is a key objective identified in the 2018/2019 Strategic Plan so we require a competent project leader with the requisite technical knowledge.

Please note, we are not looking for a technical writer, more a person who has these skills with strong consultation and engagement capability.

Duties include:

  • Identify suitability and sufficiency of the standards
  • Define the procedures and SOP’s with relevant parties, consult, sign off and publish
  • Lead, run and execute the plan

Skills and experience include:

  • Sound knowledge of health and safety and other relevant legislation
  • Significant experience in a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation
  • Ability to interpret and ensure standards reflect the operational needs of the business and operationalise into BAU
  • Strong technical ability, good knowledge of legislation and processes to review current systems in place
  • Ability to review and write documents ensuring they are ‘user-friendly’
  • Excellent communication – prepare and deliver clear, concise, accurate, effective and persuasive written and verbal presentations

Mandatory Attributes:

  • Disciplined and structured approach
  • Strong project management
  • Proven ability to review standards, systems and processes in a large complex manufacturing environment
