Seeking an autonomous Advisor to promote and implement health, safety and wellness in order to support continual improvement across all areas of the business.

The role

The role will aim to promote and facilitate Health, Safety and Wellness across all areas of the business while collaborating with both the management team and staff to ensure regulatory compliance is achieved as well as embedding the health, safety and wellness culture.

This is a great opportunity to really make your mark – you will also be responsible for reviewing and developing Health and Safety policies, systems and processes and working alongside operational teams to advise on risk and best practice.  Providing the audit and monitoring function in a truly proactive manner.

Duties include

  • Promote consistency and excellence in all Health, Safety and Wellness systems, policies and procedures
  • Review and develop Health and Safety policies, systems and processes
  • Coordinate risk assessments and the development of SOP’S
  • Advise on risk and best practice Health and Safety
  • Identify, coordinate and facilitate required Wellness and Safety training
  • Sub-contractor Management
  • Hazard identification, accidents/incident investigations and reporting

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety
  • Health and Safety experience within a manufacturing environment or similar
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective and robust working relationships
  • Flexible, responsive, engaging, can-do attitude
  • Results driven and outcome focussed
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation in a practical sense
  • Solid injury management experience
  • Experienced in risk assessments and SOP development
  • Competent, accurate and excellent computer literacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in communicating and presenting to groups
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise
