Reporting to the National HSE Manager and indirectly to the Regional Manager, as a member of the Regional Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in promoting and facilitating the delivery of health, safety and environmental, sustainable outcomes.

Your experience within the commercial construction industry will ensure you have a credible approach and you will be viewed as a trusted leader, with demonstrable and successful experience in coaching, mentoring, influencing and guiding frontline leaders and HSE Advisors – enabling successful delivery of the desired outcomes.

Duties

Provide expert HSE support and clear guidance on HSE risks, national frameworks and standards

  • Identify gaps to enable delivery of excellent HSE performance
  • Support the shaping and implementation of HSE initiatives which are aligned with business needs
  • Ensure relevant client and external stakeholder requirements are met in full
  • Monitor regional incident and hazard trends, assisting to put in place measures to address identified concerns
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company frameworks/standards
  • Enable a proactive and positive stance ensuring all workplace accidents, incidents, near misses and potential significant workplace hazards are reported to key stakeholders

Skills and experience includes

 Relevant qualification (i.e. OHS Diploma, NEBOSH) desirable

  • Significant experience within a complex contracted service environment
  • Solid experience working with senior internal leaders and clients
  • Experienced in successfully leading positive change
  • Influential, engaging, mentoring personality type
  • Team focussed with a strong ability to build effective and robust relationships
  • Excellent standard of communication both verbal and written
