Managing the Wellbeing and Injury Management for a business of over 2000 staff across New Zealand

About the company

One of the largest manned security companies in New Zealand with over 2000 staff, they have  significant numbers of people in remote and high-risk situations.

About the role

This role is responsible for actively managing the welfare and rehabilitation of all employees. You will work directly with care providers and employees to obtain the best possible outcomes. You will also work closely with stakeholders throughout the business to ensure the earliest Return to Work. You will also manage the relationship with ACC.

The other significant part of the role is managing the mental wellbeing of staff. In security staff can be subject to many threatening and serious situations. You will work with people and their families to help them through these situations.

Skills and experience

You will have proven experience in managing an effective RTW process including:

  • Managing all work correspondence
  • Liaising with stakeholders throughout the business
  • Working closely with employees to ascertain physical and mental requirements for RTW.

You will also have a strong empathetic skill set and gain satisfaction helping employees and their families. Proven wellbeing experience especially with complex injury management including pastoral care to families and individuals. A tertiary qualification in Psychology or experience providing social support would be highly advantageous.
