Exciting role for an experienced Asbestos expert with an internationally supported company expanding in New Zealand in a lifestyle location

 The company

Our client is an internationally recognised and trusted provider of quality, safety and environmental solutions worldwide. They are expanding the Asbestos Surveying and Analysis Unit of their business, New Zealand wide.

The role

As the Analyst/Lab Manager you will be a self-starter. An experienced Field Analyst with some management experience to run the Lab as required.

This role offers the chance to develop and diversify your skills, training and participating in Site Surveys and bulk sampling.

 Duties

  • Assist with management of the lab and the quality system within the Asbestos department
  • Bulk sample analysis
  • Carry out Air Testing including leak clearance and air test clearance
  • Issue Re-occupation certificates
  • Carry out Site Surveys to identify potential asbestos materials
  • Grow the team through motivation and training
  • Maintain IANZ accreditation

 Skills and experience

  • BOHS Qualification is required – P401 and P403/404
  • P402 would be advantageous
  • Solid experience with ISO17025 and the lab environment
  • Commitment to training
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside of normal business hours
