Our client is committed to zero harm and will not compromise the safety of their people and are seeking a passionate EHS coordinator to assist in this quest.

The role

The EHS Coordinator will support the execution of day-to-day elements of the EHS Management System in the plants. The EHS Coordinator will support and collaborate with the EHS Manager to support the execution of plant initiatives, drive adherence to standardised compliance requirements and work with operators and other plant stakeholders to determine day-to-day health and safety priorities.

Duties

  • Support the EHS Manager, plant managers and team leaders in EHS Management
  • Ensure that all plant EHS administration and compliance actions are adhered to
  • Conduct Workplace Assessments and Inspections
  • Conduct site safety inductions
  • Maintain Safety Leadership Activity Registers and Records database
  • Maintain Site Hazard and Risk Registers
  • Participate in EHS Committee and provide support to committee
  • Manage RTW process and Injury Management support
  • Support training needs analyses and provide training
  • Coordinate incident investigations and hazard reports
  • Provide assistance in the close out of corrective actions

Skills and experience

  • Certificate IV or tertiary qualified in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Sound knowledge of relevant EHS legislation
  • Basic understanding of EHS Management Systems, technology and tools
  • Entry-level experience in an EHS role within a similar or high-risk environment
