Our client seeks a well-rounded, flexible safety advisor to lead and support global safety initiatives within the NZ business.

The role
A part time role (22.5hrs per week); responsible for approx. 145 staff, in a mostly corporate environment, you will report to the HSE Manager in Australia, and have the full support of their team. With the occasional requirement for travel, you will work autonomously and with flexibility around your hours of work.
Duties
- Implement and maintain the current WHS management system NZ wide
- Coordinate the company’s health and wellness program
- Collate incident and injury data and report globally as required
- Induct new employees
- Conduct audits as required within NZ
- Ensure compliance to current legislation
- Provide or arrange timely and appropriate HSE training
- Complete risk assessments and incident investigations as required
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated HSE experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
- Excellent self-management skill
- Knowledge of HSNO and an ability to create SDS would be preferable
- Sound working knowledge of current NZ legislation
