Seeking an experienced Administrator to assist and support the Contracting team in Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Training Coordination

The role

This is a real opportunity to take ownership of diverse role, you will be assisting the HSQE Manager with the administration of efficient and functional Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental systems and processes.

Alongside this, the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of training for the Northern Contracting staff. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure field staff are trained and competent at all times, while maintaining productivity.

Previous experience working in a Health and Safety team would be an advantage and the successful candidate will be able to work autonomously in a varied and fast paced environment.

Duties

  • General Administration including record keeping and data
  • Document writing and policy updates
  • Assist with preparation of monthly Safety Meeting information
  • Maintain training and competency registers
  • Provide administrative support the internal audit process
  • Liaise with Operations Managers to ensure an efficient training programme
  • Actively identify improvements or initiatives

Skills and experience

  • Significant experience in varied administration
  • Previous experience in a health and safety or training team is desirable
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Advanced Excel user and proficient in other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to think on your feet and prioritise your workload
  • Enjoy and share your knowledge in a team environment
  • Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence required
