 About the role

Part of an experienced and effective team, this role reports to the HSE National Manager and is an opportunity to partner with all units of this busy FMCG business. Supporting their Wiri manufacturing site, you will provide support to all stakeholders, advising, coaching and leading safety.

Safety is led from the top in this business and the HSE team are relied upon to provide up to date and practical HSE advice and coaching across all levels of the business. The successful candidate will provide insight, interpreting legislation and showing visible leadership in all areas of health, safety and the environment.

Duties

  • Champion compliance across your dedicated business unit
  • Develop and implement related safety documents
  • Partner with and coach senior leadership and operational staff
  • Oversee Injury Management and Return to Work programmes
  • Manage ACC AEP for Logistics
  • Conduct investigations as required
  • Participate in scheduled auditing

 Skills and experience

Communication and influencing skills are a required strength in this role; with the ability to adapt information to suit your audience.  Solid and practical working knowledge of legislation is required as is the ability to translate it in a practical manner.

The Business Partner will facilitate training to reduce risk, as well as contributing to Injury Management and Return to Work programmes. Administration of the safety management system and providing reports means you also require excellent IT and written communication skills.

 Relevant qualification

  • Commitment to further study
  • Experience in manufacturing is an advantage
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
