The role

Our client is a Dunedin based organisation with sites across Otago. They require an experienced and highly competent safety contractor to collaborate with teams across the business, providing specialist advice and expertise.

Crucially you will have significant experience around machine guarding, able to provide guidance in best practice and implement robust systems/initiatives. Suitable candidates must be able to support and coach senior leaders, train staff and deliver positive outcomes for the business. This is a senior level consulting opportunity.

 

Duties

  • Provide Machine Guarding safety expertise/guidance
  • Support a range of safety initiatives including HSNO management and Health and Safety Rep Training
  • Collaborate with the leadership team and Support existing HSE function
  • Develop relationships across the organisation, adding value

 

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualified or NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum requirement
  • Proven expertise relating to AS/NZS 4024
  • Significant consulting experience, ideally familiar with multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Able to work with across a range of internal stakeholders, engaging with senior management and building relationships
  • Solutions focused with a pragmatic approach to H&S management
